The Maruti Brezza has been one of India's most loved compact SUVs for years. Now, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the updated Brezza facelift with fresh styling, more features, and a few mechanical upgrades. Recent spy shots and industry reports suggest the launch is just around the corner.
Maruti Suzuki has not officially announced the launch date yet, but reports indicate the Brezza facelift could arrive in July 2026 or in the coming months. Test vehicles have already been spotted multiple times on Indian roads.
Don't expect a complete redesign. Maruti is likely to give the Brezza a smart refresh with:
New front grille
Redesigned bumpers
Updated LED lighting elements
New alloy wheel design
Minor rear styling changes
The overall SUV stance is expected to remain familiar while looking more modern.
Expected Features
Larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Updated dashboard design
New cabin theme and upholstery
Wireless smartphone connectivity
360-degree camera
Head-Up Display (HUD)
Electric sunroof
Wireless charger
Ventilated front seats (expected on higher variants)
Connected car technology
The larger infotainment screen could become one of the biggest highlights of the facelift.
The current 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine is expected to continue.
Possible Powertrain Options
Engine | Expected Status |
1.5L Petrol | Continue |
1.5L Petrol + CNG | Continue |
1.0L Boosterjet Turbo Petrol | Under consideration |
Some reports suggest Maruti may introduce a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 100 bhp and 147 Nm torque. However, this is not officially confirmed yet.
One interesting update could be the addition of a 6-speed manual transmission, replacing the current 5-speed unit. This may improve highway cruising and fuel efficiency.
Spy reports also indicate that the Brezza CNG may get an underbody-mounted CNG tank, freeing up valuable boot space. This would make the Brezza one of the most practical CNG SUVs in its segment.
Expected safety package includes:
6 Airbags
ABS with EBD
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
Hill Hold Assist
ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts
360-Degree Camera
Rear Parking Sensors
ADAS features are still unconfirmed at this stage.
The current Brezza starts around ₹8.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is expected to see a small price increase because of the added features and technology.
The Brezza facelift looks like a sensible update rather than a complete makeover. A bigger touchscreen, possible 6-speed manual gearbox, improved CNG practicality, and fresh styling could help Maruti keep the Brezza competitive against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
If you're planning to buy a compact SUV in the next few months, waiting for the new Brezza could be worth it.
